The origins of Emilio Lustau SA date back to 1896, when Mr. José Ruiz-Berdejo, a secretary of the Court of Justice, began to cultivate the vineyards of the family's state, named Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza, during his free time. In these humble beginnings, he made wines that were later sold to larger Sherry producers. This activity was known as an almacenista or breeder.
Sergio Martínez is responsible for all Lustau wines. After more than 14 years at the House, Sergio has led the winery's oenological team since 2016. Like his predecessors in this position, Sergio was recognized as the best fortified winemaker by the International Wine Challenge in 2019, for the third year consecutive.
In 1990, Fernando joined The House of Lustau as Master Blender and Quality Control Manager, responsible for overseeing the production process of Lustau vermouths and brandies from distillate to final product.
The vast experience Fernando has accumulated over a lifetime of dedication to spirits, liqueurs and fortified wines was reflected in his appointment in 2013 as a member of the Sherry Regulatory Board's Tasting Committee.
Pedro Ximénez grapes are laid out in the sun after harvest until they are practically raisins. After that, the fermentation starts slowly and stops to maintain all the natural sugars. The resulting wine ages for 12 years in contact with the air in Jerez de la Frontera.
Ebony color with iodized reflections. The aromas are reminiscent of figs, raisins and dates. Enormously soft, velvety and smooth on the palate, well balanced, with a very long finish.

Beaujolais-Villages le Trublion Alexis de Benoist 2022 75cl
Varietal: Gamay Noir
Originally from Champagne, Alexis de Benoist settled in 2010 as an artisan winemaker in the family property to reinstate the culture of the vine, interrupted for a century, and reconnect with its history. Since then, the family has regained its title of winemaker.
Today, he cultivates 9,5 hectares of vines spread over two wine regions: the Mâconnais and the Beaujolais.
The intention is to harmonize the grape variety and its terroir to obtain wines with character. Anxious to preserve the environment and the quality of his wines, Alexis de Benoist has chosen to focus his efforts on the vine, favoring traditional agriculture and farming methods linked to observation.
In this 30 to 80 year old vineyard, the harvest is done by hand. The grapes are thus harvested healthy, at maturity and remain intact on arrival at the vat room for vinification in whole bunches.
The choice of traditional vinification and aging aims to preserve the freshness of the fruit, while retaining structure, in order to produce an expressive, balanced and delicate wine for laying down.

Harvest / Sorting the harvest in the vineyard with the pickers
Vinification / Between 5 and 10 days of maceration in vats, followed by fermentation between 24 and 28°C

The planting density is 12000 vines per hectare, allowing an average yield of 40 hl/ha.
Winegrower in Nuits Saint Georges
Le Chopin Estate produces white and red wines from the Coast of Nights, including Nights Saint Greorges, always balanced and powerful.
Arnaud Chopin and his brother Alban have taken over the destiny of the family estate in Comblanchien for several years. This young and dynamic recovery has brought its share of changes with intense work in the vineyard, a considerable drop in yields and very careful breeding. So many assets that have given their dimension to the wines of this domain. These are rich and deep, powerful and balanced. They are cut for keeping, but by their structure, they can be appreciated young.
