Timorous Beastie takes its name from a character immortalized in a famous poem by Robert Burns, entitled "To a mouse", depicting a shy field mouse. However, there is nothing shy about this traffic jam by merchant Douglas Laing. Timorous Beastie manages to capture the very essence of the Highlands through the clever marriage of aged and carefully selected malts such as Glen Garioch, Dalmore or Glengoyne. The result is a smooth, gourmet and opulent whiskey.


Timorous Beastie 25 Years is a marriage of Highland single malts, aged to perfection and proudly offered without coloring or cold filtration, for a production of only 1600 bottles. Bottled at 46,8% alcohol, on tasting, the 25-year-old Timorous Beastie offers notes of sweet vanilla, homemade pastry, tangy marmalade and pine honey. This is the seventh age-specific launch launched under the Timorous Beastie brand: 10, 12, 18, 21, 24, and 40.

Bob Baxter and Alan Hansen, two brewers, have been friends for a long time; they decided to settle in Whitehorse in the Yukon and set up a brewery in 1997.
Whiskey made in small releases, with a variety of malted roasted grains, using different fermentation techniques and a mix of barrels. The goal is for no two versions to be the same, so that as each expression emerges, it is layered and complex and will likely never be repeated.
Very pretty Canadian whiskey with a very elegant and little marked peat.

WHITE RUM DZAMA PRESTIGE NOSY-BE 42 °

In 1981, a visionary man shook up the consumption habits of his compatriots who were content with poor quality rum, generally too chopped, and which everyone arranged as they could according to their means.

Lucien Fohine discovers that the sugar factory on the island of Nosy-Bé located in the North West of the Big Island of Madagascar produces an alcohol with unique and persistent flavors. After investigations, he deduced that this is due to the roots of ylang-ylang which intermingle with those of the cane and the aromas of cloves, pepper trees and vanilla which grow in abundance in the region and whose perfumes even after distillation.


This rum is the first rum created by Lucien Fohine, founder of Compagnie Vidzar, when he moved to the island of Nosy-Bé in 1982. Although there is no longer any rum production on this island, Franck Fohine, his son and successor at the head of the company, wanted to keep this rum in the range in honor of his father. The name has therefore been retained (Blanc DE NOSY-BE), as well as the degree, 42 °, even if it is significantly higher than the current demand. Indeed, the population of the island of Nosy-Bé, to whom rum was addressed, is a maritime population, eager to recognize its strength and therefore strong alcohol.

The Term Navy Strength comes from the Royal Navy. In 1816 there was no alcoholmeter, and sailors to check the quality of alcohol mixed the alcohol with gunpowder and tried to ignite it. If the paste obtained was above a certain degree (57 °), the powder ignited.
