Gewurztraminer Taureau Gérard Neumeyer 2021 75cl
Winegrower in MOLSHEIM
The Gérard Neumeyer estate is a business resulting from a family operation for three generations. From the 1990s, the estate has embarked on a dynamic of reasoned agriculture which was confirmed by the transition to organic viticulture on January 01, 2009 (certification body: Qualité France). This house produces wines of terroir with different appellations: Alsace - Alsace Grand Cru Bruderthal - Crémant d'Alsace as well as Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles.
The Salicutti wine estate, owned by renowned Munich restaurateurs Felix and Sabine Eichbauer of the prestigious Tantris, is nestled in wildly beautiful surroundings southeast of Montalcino. Although the precise history of the property, located about two hours from Florence, has been lost in the twists and turns of time, the origins of its name are clear: it takes its name from the stream that demarcates its southern border.
Few could have predicted that this modest plot of land would become the cradle of an exceptional terroir when Francesco Leanza initially cultivated it almost 30 years ago. Today, the estate house and the cellar constitute the heart of an enclosed microcosm of 11 hectares, of which 4,5 hectares are dedicated to vines, supplemented by an olive grove and a forest.
Gevrey Chambertin René Bouvier 2020 Magnum
Winemaker at Gevrey Chambertin
The René Bouvier estate is a family house created in 1910 by the grandfather of Bernard Bouvier, current master on board with his wife. The farm covers 13 hectares in pinot noir and 4 in chardonnay for a total of 18 appellations in Burgundy , Côtes-de-Nuits-Villages , Fixin , Marsannay et Gevrey-Chambertin , including Premiers and Grands Crus.
The vineyard is managed in sustainable agriculture and is the subject of a conversion to organic farming, with tillage, disbudding, green harvesting, harvesting and manual sorting. In 2006, the estate inaugurated a new 1 m² vat room, the care taken in vinification and aging making it a sure value in the Burgundy .
When we ask Bernard Bouvier what a good wine is, he replies that "it's a wine that makes you salivate, that makes you want to finish the bottle you have uncorked." Far from marketing, he prefers to evoke the expression of vintages and terroirs, and rejects a certain standardization of wines. This search for quality associated with respect for the terroir defines the Bouvier touch: round and powerful wines with perfectly tamed tannins.
QUARTS DE CHAUME ZERSILLES 2015 DOMAINE PATRICK BAUDOUIN
Today, Domaine Patrick Baudouin has thirteen and a half hectares of vines in production. Ten hectares of Chenin, three and a half of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, in the communes of Chaudefonds sur Layon, Saint Aubin de Luigné and Rochefort sur Loire (Quart de Chaume). Patrick also planted one hectare of Savennières in 2009.
The Estate undertook to convert all its vines to organic farming in 2002. Any new plot rented or purchased is immediately converted, if it is not already organic.
Since 1997 they resumed tillage, then abandoned chemical weedkillers, and from 2001 they no longer used synthetic treatment products. In the cellar, since 1994, no more wine from the Domaine has been chaptalized ("sweetened", as the ancients said), by limiting sulfur to a minimum.
In the vineyard, certified organic farming, constant search for the best human labor / biotope ratio, for a non-destructive, sustainable culture.
VOSNE ROMANEE THE BARS DOMAINE DU CONVENT 2020 75CL
Philippe CHRON.
The Domaine du Couvent presents itself as a family property led by Philippe Chéron and installed in the former convent of Gevrey-Chambertin. Set of plots located on the climat les Barreaux for a total area of 71 ares. This climat from the top of the village overlooks the Richebourg and is framed by the Cros Parantoux, Petits Monts and Brulées premier crus. This current vineyard is the result of 15 planting campaigns from 1929 to 1977; and therefore presents a very diversified plant material with an average age of over 50 years. The planting density is 12000 vines per hectare, allowing an average yield of 40 hl/ha.
PAUL APRIL
Grapes Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah
Area: 29 hectares.
Details Domain: Pioneer of the bottling on the property, the Avril family owns a domain, which despite its name of clos can rely on almost all the geological natures composing the appellation. She knows how to play this diversity and thus appears as one of the most regular wines, whatever the vintage.
Cellar storage: The best vintages usually require 5 8 years to flourish and are suitable for a very long guard.
It is on a low south-facing hillside that “Le Vau Jaumier” is located on clay-limestone terroir. Vines have been there for a long time, as evidenced by the numerous remains of amphorae. They emerge as soon as the earth is disturbed, from the remains of a Gallo-Roman villa which rises within this vineyard.
Harvest and vinification: The harvest are manual then the grapes are sorted grain by grain at optimum maturity. “Le Vau Jaumier” is the last harvested terroir of the whole estate. After crushing and destemming of the harvest, alcoholic fermentation starts naturally and is carried out in thermo-regulated wooden vats. Pigeage by foot twice a day for ten days and the maceration is then prolonged for 2 to 15 days in order to complete the extraction. Entonnage, in barrels after devatting and pressing. Malolactic fermentation therefore takes place in oak barrels (during the spring following the harvest).
Breeding : Classically, the Le Vau Jaumier cuvée is aged in 1-wine barrels for 12 months. In adaptation to the vintage,
