Patrice Villeger is located in the town of Feuillères in the Somme.
He is above all passionate and is one of the many independent bottlers.
A passion for traditions, craftsmanship and elegance which took him into the world of Whiskeys. From the age of 16, he began his apprenticeship on the Isle of Islay in Scotland. Teaspooning" is the practice of adding a small amount of whiskey from a specific distillery
(hence the name referring to a teaspoon) to a cask with a distillate from another distillery, which gives
a blended whisky, which is at 99, 99% of single malt whiskey from a distillery.
This procedure prevents buyers from bottling these barrels under the official name of the distillery or under the name of
single malt whiskey.
Most commonly, the teaspoon is used when selling kegs to independent bottlers
or to competitors in order to protect a brand and the supply of single malt bottles
from a specific distillery.
