Vacqueyras Cuvée Vincila Domaine Montvac 2020 75 cl
At the origin of this estate is Louis Avon, a journeyman cooper who, during his Tour de France, settled in Vacqueyras where he came to buy some acres of vines. Today, after a transmission from mother to daughter, the domain covers 22 hectares including 2 in Cotes du Rhone, 3 en Gigondas et 17 en VacqueyrasIn the vineyards, the reasoned fight is in the spotlight, which excludes herbicides and pesticides. In the same logic of respect for Nature, the soil is mechanically worked. Concerning the grape variety, Grenache is in the majority, followed by Syrah and a little Mourvèdre. Happy team of pickers share pick the beautiful and good bunches. In the cellar, you will find the same respect, the same attention as in the vineyards, with minimalist interventions and barrel aging.
A selection of Grenache and Syrah from our best terroirs and our oldest vines, elaborated only in vintages of known quality, Vincila expresses the ambitious serenity of maturity.
The oldest of the high-expression wines of Domaine de Montvac.
The desired complexity implies low yields: 25 hl / ha only for Grenache (60%) and 30 hl / ha for Syrah.
Gigondas les Grames 2022 Domaine des Espiers Magnum
It is in 1989 that the area of Espiers was born in Vacqueyras, when Philippe Cartoux decided to walk in the footsteps of his grandparents who owned a vineyard in the family since 1879.
The vineyard now covers 9,5 hectares including 3 to Gigondas , 4 en Cotes du Rhone et 2,5 en Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages Sablet . The grape variety is very largely dominated by the 3 main Rhone grape varieties, namely Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. The vines are in reasoned fight and do not receive any chemical treatment. In general, the gestures are all part of a logic of respect for the terroir and the environment, with in particular yields of less than 35 hl/ha.
The harvest is manual for traditional vinification and aging taking place in oak barrels. Philippe Cartoux likes to develop robust, gourmet but also refined wines.
The grape variety is not classic since it is 65% Grenache noir and 35% Syrah. The nature of the soil is clay-limestone, and the yield for the traditional vintage is faithful to the decree of the appellation, i.e. 35 hl. The vinification is traditional, without destemming, cold at the beginning, then raised to temperature (35°) and stripped in order to extract maximum fruit. The harvest is carried out manually and the cultivation of the soil is mechanical (without chemical weedkillers) the wines are generally unfiltered. Aging is carried out for 6 months in 225 liter barrels.

Destemmed harvest. Granite soils.
Aged for twelve months: 20% in new barrels - 40% in barrels of one wine - 40% in barrels of two wines

A prestigious cru, Crozes-Hermitage is available in reds, made from Syrah, and whites from Roussanne and Marsanne.
Acquired by the family in 1490, the property comprises 22 ha of old vines with an average age of 60 years.
They give small yields. The terroir of Saint Cosme is a geological mosaic linked to the great upheaval of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Saint Cosme is located exactly at the crossing point of two geological faults, in a cold and late microclimate: balance, freshness and finesse characterize the wines.

CHAVEYRON 1422 DOMAINE SALADIN WINE OF FRANCE 2020
Domaine Saladin is located in Saint Marcel d'Ardèche, a southern village of the Côtes du Rhône du Sud, halfway between Montélimar and Avignon, on the right bank of the Rhône.
Elisabeth, Marie-Laurence, Louis and Annick Saladin are at the head of Domaine Saladin, a family property passed down from father to son and father to daughters since 1422. The 18 hectares and 13 grape varieties
Rhodanians of the estate offer the particularity of having always been harvested by hand, cultivated and vinified organically.
“Chaveyron – 1422” is a selection of plots located in Saint Marcel d'Ardèche. The archives show that in 1422, Raymond Saladin bought a vine planter at a place called “Chaveyron”. A composition, a XNUMXth century copy of which is kept in the departmental archives of the Ardèche, attests: “Raymondi Saladini de Trihano Item unum Planterium situun in Chalvayrono”.
Since then, the generations of farmers-vine growers have succeeded one another.
The terroir is made up of “red” earth, ferrous, dotted with rolled pebbles. The exposure is oriented South-East on hillsides. To the north, oaks, a “Clapas” (heap of stones in patois) and a hedge of high cypresses authorized the plot. The yield reaches 28 hectoliters per hectare. No use of pesticides, herbicides or insecticides since the origin of the Domain. The harvest is entirely manual. Certified Organic Agriculture by Ecocert. Since 2006, Elisabeth and Marie-Laurence have chosen to downgrade this cuvée to Table Wine because it does not meet the standard of the approval commission. Vinification method: Syrah and Viognier are harvested by hand and vinified together. One month vatting in indigenous yeasts. Aging takes place in oak casks for 9 months.
Henry Bonneau
Grape: Grenache
The Henri Bonneau estate has 6 hectares of vines.
Henri Bonneau has always been considered one of the great winegrowers of Châteauneuf du Pape.
Still in his cellar, this discreet man was like a hermit.
He has always produced timeless wines with very long ageing.
This great winemaker left us in 2016.

Aging takes place in concrete vats for 8 months before bottling.
100% Serine (old syrah).
Whole harvest. Schists and Micaschists in places called Semons, But de Mont, Les Bercheries, Maison Rouge, Rozier, Cote Rozier, Besset and Bodin.
Aged for twelve months: 30% in new barrels – 70% in barrels of one wine.
What a vintage in Cote Rotie! It has been a long time since I had obtained such wines. When you taste all the barrels and everything is great, it's like visualizing the color palette that a painter will use. The different localities express themselves in such a precise and beautiful way that you wonder if you are not on the greatest terroir in the world. The mica schists are capable in 2019 of producing a finesse imbued with charm and mystery, the wines exude wild blackberry, pencil lead, smoked ham, iodine: pure magic. Then on the palate, the textured sweetness blends with the natural freshness of serine when it is grown in its northern limit. This 2019 is not to be missed under any circumstances as it evokes its glorious predecessors of 1991, 1999 and 2007. I set out to discover the Cote Rotie in 1997: after 24 vintages of practice in this wonderful terroir, I believe that the slightly warmer vintages (like 2019) are fine here. Moreover, it suffices to refer to the primary and literal meaning of “Cote-Rôtie” to be convinced of this.
