CARA ON TINTO 2019 75CL

CARA SUR is a small winery formed in 2011 as a partnership between two couples who were inspired to revive ancestral vines and produce wines from traditional Argentine varietals.
Sebastián Zuccardi and Marcela Manini teamed up with Nuria Año Gargiulo and Pancho Burgallo, an avid mountaineering couple who live in Barreal, in the Calingasta de San Juan Valley, north of Mendoza. This spirit of mountaineering is represented in the name: Cara Sur means "south face" and refers to the more difficult approach of Cerro Mercedario, one of the highest peaks in Argentina, which can be seen from Barreal , the birthplace of Pancho and Nuria.
The quartet produces wines from Moscatel, Moscatel Tinto, Bonarda, Barbera and Criolla Chica. The vineyard is located along the Los Patos River in Barreal on stony ground 1500 meters above sea level. The vines were trained on a Parral, or pergola: a ceiling trellis system that provides shade and maximizes air circulation.

AMPHORA SAUVIGNON BLANC GABRIELSKLOOF 2021 75cl

100% Sauvignon grape variety

Whole bunch pressed and 100% wild fermented in clay amphorae. Aged for ten months on raw lees without any additions, with a minimum of SO2 additions just before bottling. Gabriëlskloof's vision is to produce fine wines that reflect the complexity, richness and diversity of a unique terroir. They strive to do this in the most ecological way possible, respecting the biodiversity of the region at all times. Gabriëlskloof is the realization of a dream for South African Bernhard Heyns, who for several years sought to find the unique ground which, in his words, “would root him where he was”.


In 2001 he found what was then a canola farm called “Avontuur” and the penny fell. It soon became apparent that the site had the potential to produce high quality wines with a distinctive character, and it did. Gabrielskloof has been owned and managed by the Heyns family ever since. This family has since grown to include members of the local community, many of whom have risen through the ranks to leadership positions on the farm.

Gabriëlskloof is on a rise in the Botrivier valley between two mountain ranges; the Houwhoek Range to the north and the Babylonstoren Range to the south. The farm is 15 km from the Atlantic Ocean in Hawston as the crow flies, and the vineyards benefit from the cooling sea breezes. 

A total of 12 grape varieties are planted on the property on various soils. From the highest and windiest plots around the winery itself where they grow Sauvignon Blanc, to the rocky and less productive vines on the northern slope that supply Syrah on sandstones, special attention has been paid to the suitability of each plot for each respective vine

The farm is home to hundreds of varieties of native Cape fynbos and a host of local animals, including a troop of Cape baboons, a multitude of birds and the occasional mountain leopard.

LADERAS TEMPRANILLO 2020 TINTO BADIOLA RIOJA

Varietal: Tempranillo 100%

La Rioja Alta is one of the founding areas of Rioja. It celebrated its 2015th anniversary in 125 and is part of Spain's wine-growing history.

La Rioja Alta  is one of the great quality and prestigious estates, recognized worldwide for the quality and style of its wines. The estate has 400 hectares of the best Rioja wines, spread over different soils and orientations. These are mainly planted with Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo, and Garnacha.

The estate has its own cooperage (ages its planks for at least 3 years) and mainly uses American oak. 

ANDES HORSE MENDOZA ARGENTINA 2018 

The adventure of Cheval des Andes began twenty years ago, on the initiative of Pierre Lurton. It is by combining the know-how of the iconic Château Cheval Blanc directed by Pierre Lurton with the terroir of Las Compuertas, located in the region of Mendoza that the idea of ​​producing one of the greatest Argentine wines was born. , paying homage to Malbec and the art of Bordeaux blending. Today, Cheval des Andes is brilliantly in line with the desire of these pioneers who contributed to its birth: to be a grand cru from the Andes with a unique personality.

The Cheval des Andes vineyard extends over 46 hectares with two complementary terroirs. Located 1070 meters above sea level, the historic Las Compuertas vineyard is located on the left bank of the Rio Mendoza. Old Malbec vines planted in 1929 bring their richness and complexity, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon. To the south, the Altamira vineyard is located at an altitude of 1150 metres. In this zone with a cooler climate, 14 hectares of vines are planted with Malbec vines dating back to 1945. Due to the higher altitude and the significant thermal amplitudes between night and day, the grapes are endowed with tannins of 'great finesse with lovely freshness and floral notes.

LAMBRUSCO REGGIANO DOLCE PETTIROSSO 

Lambrusco consists exclusively of the Lambrusco grape variety. The grapes are placed in tanks for fermentation.
Winegrowers do not wait until all the sugar is turned into alcohol to bottle the Lambrusco. Once locked, these residual sugars cause a second fermentation.
This gives a naturally sweet and slightly beading wine.

With its red dress and fine bubbles, the Lambrusco surprises.
Produced in the north of Italy, in the great plains of Emilie around Modena, this cuvée Pettirosso (Rouge Gorge) is a sweet wine (Dolce) slightly sparkling (frizzante).

Laderas Tempranillo 2021 Tinto Badiola Rioja 75cl

Badiola is a cave based in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa. Badiola offers a new perspective on Rioja wines. 
The vineyards are located on the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria, mainly comprising the villages of Villabuena, Leza, Samaniego, Laguardia, Navaridas and Baños del Ebro, each terroir presents wines with a distinctive character. The vines are extremely old; many were planted in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s and they deliver concentrated juices with a clear identity. The winemaking philosophy is to obtain very pure, fresh and well-textured wines that resemble their origin.  

Laderas” means hillside and this wine takes its name from the hillside vineyards on which the raisins are grown. The fruit is carefully selected from more than 300 plots located on the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria, in Rioja Alavesa

Pietro De Martino arrived in Chile from Italy in 1934 and decided to seek a place as unique as the wine he dreamed of making. 
Isla de Maipo, with its alluvial soils and Mediterranean climate, offered the perfect conditions to craft classic wines in a fresh and elegant style.
Today, with more than 80 years of experience, the winery brings together the experience of the third generation of the family - represented by Pietro, Marco and Remo De Martino - with the dynamism and vision of the fourth generation - Marco Antonio and Sebastián De Martino - who, together with winemaker Nicolás Pérez, led the winery's projects.

The geography and local climates of Chile's wine regions are determined to a greater extent by proximity to mountains and the influence of the ocean than by latitude. Indeed, the geographical particularities of the country have created micro-climates within the different wine regions.

Chile's most important red grape variety is by far the Cabernet Sauvignon, which accounts for more than a third of all vines planted.
