RUM HSE 2013 ROZELIEURES WHISKEY FINISH 44 °

Saint-Etienne was built on the foundations of "La Maugée", a sugar refinery whose land extended at the beginning of the 400th century over more than XNUMX hectares, from Gros-Morne to Saint-Joseph. The architectural ensemble, made up of the mansion, dominating the distillery and the old workers' huts, testifies to the housing system specific to Martinique.

In 1882, Saint-Etienne was bought by Amédée Aubéry, a young captain of industry who would become one of the emblematic figures of the Martinican economy. He transformed the sugar refinery into an agricultural distillery and embarked on the modernization of infrastructure. He enlarged the factory and provided it with a magnificent façade punctuated by 28 windows with arched arches which provide optimal ventilation to the building. Railways are installed on the site of the distillery: draft animals pull wagons that transport the sugar cane. The hydraulic energy is supplied by the Lézarde river thanks to a stone canal which crosses the Creole garden.

In 1909, the property passed into the hands of the Simonnet family, who developed the activity of the distillery until its decline at the end of the 80s. The estate was bought in 1994 by Yves and José Hayot who relaunched the Saint- brand. Etienne and undertake the restoration and enhancement of the architectural heritage of the dwelling. Now listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments, the distillery is one of the last and most beautiful witnesses of the mastery and aesthetics of industrial architecture at the end of the XNUMXth century in Martinique. Its restoration is currently being completed.

After more than 5 years of aging in oak barrels in the purest tradition of old HSE rums, this vintage has benefited from an 8 to 12 month finish in French Rozelieures whiskey barrels.

Rum with notes of cocoa cereals and smoky notes.

Georges devotes himself to distillation while his brother Theodore devotes himself to trading and specializes in rum.

In 2015 La Mauny reinvents itself by becoming Maison La Mauny. The brand is refocusing around its roots and its Martinican terroir. Proudly wearing the colors of Martinique, the range is reorganized and redeployed to highlight the unique know-how of the House.

RUM FERRONI GRAND AROME 2016 BRUT DE FUT 63° 50CL

E n 2010, on the benches of the International Center for Eaux de Vie in Cognac, David Roussier , manager of the Warenghem Distillery, and Guillaume Ferroni , creator of the Carry Nation bars, meet during a training course on the aging of brown spirits.

Very quickly, their common passion for spirits led them to exchange and use… creation of cocktails, comparative tastings, prototypes of spirits. Until, naturally, the idea of creating a range of high-end French spirits for the bar and cocktail world emerged.

The name they will give to this range “Bariana” is taken from the title of one of the first French works dealing with cocktails.

The range of Bariana products is essentially intended for the world of cocktail bars. It incorporates the century-old liqueurs of the Warenghem Distillery, but also incorporates new editions of great classic spirits as well as new products specially intended for integration into cocktails.

White rum neisson l spirit bio martinique 70 cl 70°

NEISSON WHITE RUM L’ESPRIT BIO MARTINIQUE 70 CL 70°

In 1932,
The Neisson brothers set up their distillery in Le Carbet, on the North Caribbean coast of Martinique. Jean, a chemical engineer by training, will devote his professional life to improving distillation techniques. Very early, his talent will be recognized by the many awards gleaned at international fairs and the famous bottle
Zepol'Kare (with square shoulders) will therefore become synonymous with a high quality rum.
In 2020,
The descendants of Jean, Claudine then her son Grégory, took up the family torch. With a know-how rooted in their genes, they are committed to living with the times while respecting nature.

In this spirit, the transition to organic farming was obvious. Land conversion began in 2013 and in 2016 the first AOC Martinique organic rum was offered to amateurs. Gradually, all the land, more than 40 ha, will experience the same evolution.

Progress does not stop at the edge of the cane fields. After years of research, Neisson uses its own strains of native yeasts, selected from those naturally present on the canes of the distillery. Reasoned choice of crop varieties for their adaptation to the typology of each plot, control of watering to save water, efficient treatment of effluents: everything today contributes to the production of exceptional agricultural rums in harmony with the ecosystem of the Neisson lands.
