Producer Domaine de Sainte Marthe
Grenache and Cinsault grape varieties.
The 70 hectares of the estate surround the Château de Sainte-Marthe, in the town of Roujan, between Pézenas and Faugères, halfway between the Cévennes and the Mediterranean. Acquired in 1988, the estate is located near the Prieuré Royal de Cassan. The cellar contains very beautiful semi-underground cellars and an old covered well sits in the courtyard of the estate. The vineyard thrives on clay-gravelly soils with limestone marls, sandstones and red schists. Planted on hillsides, the vines are exceptionally exposed on beautiful hillsides and benefit from the Mediterranean climate.
