WHISKEY BENROMACH SINGLE MALT SPEYSIDE 15 YEARS 70CL 43 °
In 2020, the Benromach family distillery unveils its brand new identity. A real return to basics, this evolution highlights the unique character of these whiskeys in the purest original smoky style of Speyside. Benromach Single Malts are made using a manual method that relies on the know-how of master distillers, and aged exclusively in first-fill barrels. Capped with a red capsule symbolizing the iconic chimney of the place, dressed with a new logo inspired by a panel formerly placed on the pagoda roof of the distillery, the bottles of Benromach salute the history and authenticity of this distillery founded in 1898. perfecting the Benromach style, a mouth which undulates between the fruits and the notes of wood and which does not stop gaining in greediness, a finish with slightly peaty accents which respects an ancestral tradition in Speyside. This is, among other things, what this magnificent 15-year-old is made of, aged exclusively in ex-bourbon and first-fill oloroso sherry casks. A Single Malt that makes us say that time has passed so quickly that we didn't see it slip away.

House of McCallum is a new collection of Scottish whiskeys designed by Antony McCallum, a maltster, blender and creator of exceptional whiskeys, with 24 years of experience in the Scotch whiskey industry.
The McCallum clan is one of the oldest noble clans in Scotland on the west coast of Scotland. The ancestors date back to some of the earliest kings of Scotland. King Malcolm I was the first King of Scotland to unite the two tribes, the Picts and the Scots into one kingdom, in order to defend Scotland from Anglo-Saxon invasions.
House of McCallum consists of two distinct ranges: the Art of Whiskey collection and the vintage Auld Alliance and Art of Rum collection.
A collection of rare barrels selected for their exceptional character and finished for some in old wine barrels of the Auld Alliance country and beyond. At the time, Scotland not only exported its whiskey to France, but also imported wine casks for consumption, which were then used to store whiskey.
A bit of history: The Auld Alliance, the former Scottish spelled Ald Allyance or Scottish Gaelic, An Seann-Chaidreachas), was a sealed alliance between the French and Scottish kingdoms. Even though 1560's Edinburgh Treaty was supposed to undo most of its features, the spirit of the treaty continued, Mary Queen of Scots refusing to ratify the treaty, and after that unwritten support remained in place. Scotland's historic ties to France and the rest of Europe have been in place since 1295 and will continue to mark the culture and future of this country.
The House of McCallum Vintage collection features barrels from different regions, different styles, some unique barrels and others distillates distilled on the same day and from the same still. Each bottle of each barrel is unique. Some are finished in handcrafted wine barrels selected from small wine producers and are handpicked by him.

WHISKEY BALLECHIN 10 YEARS HIGHLAND SINGLE MALT SCOTLAND 46 °
Speyside and Highland peat usually gives rise to very dry, even slightly bitter single malts. But at Edradour the very heavy distillate seems to perfectly accommodate this millenary fossil. In the end the Ballechin 10 years is in our opinion one of the few peaty whiskeys that bears comparison with the best Islay. Very smoky, it has the sweetness of Islay's malts and the rich and corpulent style of Edradour from which it comes. We have the privilege to import and distribute exclusively for the French market Ballechin, Edradour and Signatory Vintage since 1988, year of creation of this trading house became cult.

Whiskey black bottle 70 cl 40°
Natural peat (earth, heather), spicy, smoky, balanced. Nose: At first malty, it then releases a nice smoky and peaty power. Mouth: Powerful, deep attack, then it settles with force on a smoky register, a little phenolic but without excess. The body is round, mellow, lining the palate well, and enhanced by some spices, in a tannic tone, well wooded. Color: Light amber. Finish: The power continues through to the finish, with remarkable persistence long after the sip has been swallowed. A perfect digest of Islay peat, ranging from perfect vegetal to smoky maritime, and therefore an introduction to the island's malts... for those who don't know them yet, but also for those who already love them.
