This Family Reserve de Père Labat was aged in oak barrels. It is a blend of rum from 3 to 5 years. 
The distillation is carried out in a Creole copper column.
This rum comes from the Distillerie Poisson which is located on the island of Marie Galante.

RUM LONGUETEAU OPERA GUADELOUPE 46.4° 70CL 

Henri LONGUETEAU is the founder of the distillery. In 1895, he decided to transform the small sugar factory of the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte-Marie and to produce agricultural rum. Henry and Margaret  took over the distillery in 1927 following his father. They will have the production tool evaluated by abandoning the paddle wheel in 1968, replacing it with the locomotive-type steam engine.
Paul Henri Longueteau joined the distillery at the end of the 50s, but it was in 1987 that he became the owner of the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte-Marie and therefore of the distillery. He is at the origin of the first exports of rum to the Metropolis.
François Longueteau joined the distillery in 1979 as distiller.He is the current owner of the estate and the distillery which he bought from his father Paul-Henri in 2005. 

Blend of agricultural rums aged over 8 years aged in ex-cognac barrels.
