RUM ISAUTIER 14 YEARS ANTOINETTE 55°
Under the reign of the King of France, Louis Philippe 1st, Louis and Charles Isautier crossed the oceans from metropolitan France to settle in Reunion. Fascinated by the island and its treasure, sugar cane, they founded the family business in 1845. Since then, six generations have followed one another to build the formidable history of the oldest rum distillery in Reunion.
This rum pays tribute to Antoinette Isautier, the first woman leader of the House in 1865. This traditional rum honors the one who allowed the influence of Isautier rum in the world.
This traditional rum (from molasses) was column distilled in 2004. Selected by the cellar master for its exceptional potential, it was aged in new oak barrels for 8 to 14 months then in fine-grained red barrels in the cellar in Saint-Pierre de la Réunion.
