Castle PONTET CANET 2015
5 Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Red
Grapes Cabernet Sauvignon 60% Cabernet Franc 5% Merlot 33% Petit Verdot 2%
Second Wine The Hauts de Pontet Canet
The wines of Pontet Canet have always belonged to the legend of Bordeaux. A deep ruby color where there are jammy notes of black fruits, prune, cedar, a lot of power and above all a perfect harmony. The wines of Pontet Canet have a rather muscular character, but it is a Fifth Grand Cru Classé of Pauillac very well balanced; The practice of biodynamics in the vineyard naturally gives us more and more pure wines. History of the Château The history of the château began at the beginning of the XIIIth century when Jean-François de Pontet gathered several parcels of vines from the village of Pauillac. Later, the family of Pontet acquires vines from the locality Canet, one of the largest estates of Médoc was born.
A century later, the 1855 classification recognizes the quality of this Pauillac vintage and the Fifth Grand Cru class. Herman Cruse, then a Bordeaux merchant, realizes the potential of Château Ponet-Canet and buys it from 1865. He made known this vintage and modernized the facilities and the winery, Pontet-Canet is therefore one of the great. It is in 1975 that the Cruse family finally separates from the castle, the charente merchant Guy Tesseron then bought it. We have a real example of sustainability with Pontet-Canet, only three owners in two centuries, a restructured vineyard and a sustainable approach with the recent arrival of organic and biodynamic practices.
It is now Alfred Tesseron who runs the estate, he is assisted by his niece, Melanie Tesseron, since 2005. Ground work is in the spotlight and prophylactic measures and manual labor in the vineyards have replaced chemical weed killers and pesticides. The goal is of course to obtain the purest raw material possible.
The meteoric rise of Château Pontet-Canet has been rewarded by critics. Indeed, Robert Parker consecutively awarded two perfect 100 / 100 grades for the 2009 and 2010 vintages.

FLOWER OF PEDESCLAUX PAUILLAC 2018 75CL
2nd wine Château PEDESCLAUX Pauillac Red
In Pédesclaux, the vineyard is managed organically and some plots biodynamically. Respect for the environment has remained at the heart of the Lorenzetti family's wine-growing approach since their arrival at the property in 2009. After having restructured the vineyard and acquired new quality terroirs - the area of the vineyard increased from 35 to 48 hectares with the successive purchases of Château Haut-Milon, neighboring Mouton and Lafite, and the vines of Château Béhèré – demanding and reasoned cultivation practices have been introduced.
Grapes 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot
This wine offers a tender and soft style, a greedy and silky substance.
