COTE ROTIE STEPHANE OGIER 2020
Rooted in Ampuis for many generations, this family has always worked in the Côte-Rôtie vineyard. By taking over from his father Michel in 1998, he chose to do specific work on his different terroirs in order to reveal the uniqueness of these places full of history.
Côte-Blonde, But de Mont, Lancement, Côte-Rôzier, Champon, Besset ... this vineyard is rich in a mosaic of plots located in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie whose soil diversity and the northernmost climate of the Valley du Rhône gives the wines an incredible finesse. As close as possible to the vineyard, it strives to reveal the typical elegance of this appellation. The range he offers is therefore faithful to his roots and represents, for him, the culmination of a long history and fascinating daily work.
Grape Syrah
GIGONDAS RED Cuvée Des Blaches 2019
Field of ESPIERS
It is in 1989 that the area of Espiers was born in Vacqueyras, when Philippe Cartoux decided to walk in the footsteps of his grandparents who owned a vineyard in the family since 1879.
The vineyard now covers 9,5 hectares including 3 to Gigondas, 4 en Cotes du Rhone et 2,5 en Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages Sablet. The grape variety is largely dominated by the main 3 Rhone grape varieties, namely Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. The vines are in struggle and receive no chemical treatment. In general, the gestures are all part of a logic of respect for the soil and the environment, with yields particularly lower than 35 hl / ha.
Harvesting is manual for traditional winemaking and aging in oak barrels. Philippe Cartoux likes to produce robust, gourmet but also refined wines. Proof of the quality of its work, Lavinia boutiques offer its wines.
This wine consists of a single plot of vines in the commune of Gigondas.
The vine is aged 40 and composed of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. The harvest is manual and often the grapes picked are slightly overripe in order to obtain wines more full-bodied.
The vinification is done with a very high temperature (+ 34 ° c) in order to extract a maximum of aromas and color. The harvest is complete to allow a good homogeneity of the grape marc and long pumping over.
This wine is then aged in barrels for about 12 months, then bottled without sticking or filtration.
CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE CUVÉE CHAUPIN DOMAINE DE LA JANASSE 2018
In 1967, Aimé Sabon returned from his military service. He took over the vines from his father (who brought his grapes to the cooperative cellar) and his father-in-law (who sold the wine to the trade).
In 1973, Aimé built his own cellar. Thus was born the Domaine de la Janasse, named after the family farm which was located in Courthézon, at a place called “La Janasse”. Aimé is ambitious. Aware of having a fabulous terroir, he continues to expand the estate by acquiring new plots. From 15 hectares yesterday, La Janasse now occupies 90 hectares.
In 1991, after a BTA in viticulture and oenology in Beaune and a BTS in marketing in Mâcon, Christophe Sabon joined his father who, from the start, left him the keys to the cellar. Under his leadership, La Janasse produces different cuvées, conquers new markets and is firmly in keeping with its time.
In 2001, Isabelle, Christophe's sister, a graduate oenologist from the Faculty of Toulouse, joined the team in 2001. With Hélène, Aimé's wife and Christophe and Isabelle's mother, the family is reunited at La Janasse, which becomes, in a few years, one of the jewels of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
This cuvée comes from the cold and late terroirs of Chapouin (sand) and La Janasse and from the plateau of La Crau (sand). Area: 7 ha.
100% Garnacha. Vines planted in 1912 for the older ones. Vineyard: The vines are grown without pesticides or insecticides and the manure is of natural origin. The land is worked without weedkiller to maintain the aeration and flexibility of the soil.
Yield: 28hl/ha.
Vinification: Destemming at 80%. Maceration for 26 days with daily manual punching down. Ageing: 2/3 in tuns and 1/3 in demi-muids (600 litres). Production: 12000 to 16000 bottles per year. Tasting: The quintessence of Grenache in its finest expression from its birthplace of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Between notes of black fruits and violets, this cuvée advances in time quite supplely, with already melted tannins. A beautiful bottle, the archetype of the appellation, to pair with a deer stew today and over the next twenty-five years.

Since 1996, the venerable Maison Delas Frères, whose roots go back to 1835, has regained the soul and sparkle that have contributed to its fame.
Under the impetus of the new management, numerous investments were made on the Saint-Jean-de-Muzols production site, near Tournon-sur-Rhône.
A motivated team proudly participates in the qualitative renewal of this Grande Maison in the Rhône Valley: a vat room specially designed for the vinification of red wines, the complete restructuring of the aging cellar are among the key elements of the House's quality approach. Delas, summed up in one sentence: to perpetuate and sublimate the expression of the Terroir.
On this AOC, located at the northern end of the Rhône Valley, the very famous cuvée "La Landonne" from Delas Frères (100% Syrah) is a plot selection whose production hardly exceeds 2.500 bottles per vintage, exclusively in the great years.COTES DU RHONE CUVEE LAW DOMAINE SALADIN 2020
The Domaine Saladin is located in Saint Marcel d'Ardèche, southern village of the Southern Côtes du Rhône, halfway between Montélimar and Avignon, on the right bank of the Rhone.
Elisabeth, Marie-Laurence, Louis and Annick Saladin are at the head of Domaine Saladin, a family estate passed down from father to son and from father to daughter since 1422.
18 hectares and 13 Rhone grape varieties of the estate offer the particularity of having always been harvested by hand, grown and vinified in organic.
“Loï”, the red Côtes du Rhône Saladin evokes the creator of this cuvée: Louis Saladin. In Provençal, Loï is the nickname of Louis. It is also a tribute to Saint Louis, "Looïs", opponent of Sultan Saladin during the crusades of the XNUMXth century.
Grapes: Black and white Grenaches, Syrah, Carignan
South facing plots. Clay-limestone terroir, bordered by genets and pines. 40-year-old vines. The yield is 35 hectoliters per hectare. No use of pesticides, herbicides or insecticides since the origin of the Estate. The winegrowers, Elisabeth and Marie-Laurence Saladin, are the 21st generation of winegrowers-peasants in St Marcel d'Ardèche. Certified Organic Agriculture by Ecocert.
Entirely manual harvest. Marriage in micro-cuvée of Grenache / Carignan. Short semi-carbonic maceration without any addition of chemistry apart from a minimal dose of sulfur. Vinification and aging for 9 months in concrete vats.
The Clos des Centenaires estate extends over 7 hectares, nestled in the heart of a hill dotted with rolled pebbles typical of the Villafranchiens region. The arrangement of the vines varies depending on their age and the variety cultivated: the young plants are arranged from north to south on a slope facing south-southwest, with a trellising system, while the older vines (Grenache , Syrah and Cinsault) are planted in cups on an east-west oriented slope, thus benefiting from an east-southeast exposure.
Located less than 2 km as the crow flies from the ponds of the Petite Camargue Nature Reserve and less than 20 km from the Mediterranean, our vineyard enjoys a climate of exceptional mildness and regularity. The prevailing winds, such as the Mistral from the north, and the thermal breezes, notably from the south-southwest and the sea breeze, contribute to a remarkable precocity of budburst and to temperate summers. This combination promotes a long period of progressive ripening of the grapes, thus providing ideal conditions for their optimal development.
