Castle LAGRANGE POMEROL 2013

9 hectare property located on the northern edge of the Pomerol plateau, Château Lagrange, often called “Lagrange à Pomerol” to differentiate it from its Medoc namesake, has been the property of Etablissements Jean-Pierre Moueix since 1953.
Its soil consists of heavy clays covered with gravels, where Merlot dominates at 95%. Cultivated with the same care and precision as the other wines of Etablissements Jean-Pierre Moueix, Château Lagrange offers a generous and opulent wine, magnifying a Merlot wonderfully blooming on this beautiful terroir of ancient clays.

A wine with surprising aging potential that must wait and never disappoints!

Grapes: 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc

Château Canon Chaigneau 2019 Lalande de Pomerol 75cl

This wine comes from 21 hectares in Lalande-de-Pomerol, 1km north of Petrus, vinified by the former Cheval Blanc cellar master, Thierry Garnaud. A unique terroir: the Néac plateau, continuity of the Pomerol plateau. A very good value for money. Lovely delicate wine with enormous finesse. An elegant and delicious mouthfeel with very silky tannins.

Thierry Garnaud, has been in charge of vinification at Château Canon Chaigneau since 1995. He will continue to work at the Château for years to come.
Like Pomerol, Lalande de Pomerol is a small appellation (1 hectares), with an average annual production of only 100 million bottles.

THE TOPS OF CHAMBRUN 2019 75CL

Les Hauts de Chambrun 2019 Lalande de Pomerol 75cl

The Chambrun property was created between the wars by the Chollet family. It was then known under the name “Clos de Chambrun”. The name “Chambrun” would come from the main plot of the vineyard then called “Champ brun”.

In 1994, Jean-Philippe Janoueix bought the 1,70 hectare plot and renamed the property “Château de Chambrun”.
In May 2007, Silvio Denz, a famous Swiss businessman, bought Chambrun and expanded it with a selection of quality plots covering an area of 5,14 hectares.
In September 2015, Château Moncets, an important property of the AOC Lalande de Pomerol, acquired the Chambrun vineyard. At the same time, a little more than 3 hectares of quality Merlot were purchased to bring the Chambrun vineyard to 8,84 hectares.
In 2019, 5 hectares of the famous Néac plateau were purchased and thus completed the fragmented establishment of this dynamic 13,84 hectare vineyard.
