The vines dominate the valley, facing the sea, hanging from restanques to restanques, up to 300 m in altitude, on these slopes forming a vast circus sheltered from the mistral. The high altitude of the vineyard is worth cool nights and slow ripening of the grapes. The Château de Pibarnon vineyard is planted on very old Triassic soil, characterized by a very high level of limestone. Over the years, the estate has gone beyond the limits of the village with the desire to discover and sublimate new terroirs. From his experience in Burgundy, Stéphane Ogier retains the taste for elegance and finesse that has become characteristic of his wines. Each year, the winemaker strives to vinify the plots separately, to bring out the best of their potential. The blends are adjusted according to the vintages, like so many stories to tell around its cuvées.
