THE STONES OF AURELE WHITE BUBBLES 2019 75CL

THE STONES OF AURELE WHITE BUBBLES 2019

Wine of France - Sparkling Natural - Chenin blanc

Les Pierres d'Aurèle is a family wine estate of 20 ha located in the heart of the Loire Valley, a French wine region in the midst of a renaissance.
For ten years, the dynamism of young winegrowers has allowed the Region to rise to the rank of the best French vineyards.
It is in this spirit that we took over the vineyard in 2010 and that we work daily to produce high quality local wines.

The vines are grown on the clay-siliceous soils of Chenonceaux with the greatest respect for our environment. The vines, aged 15 to 105 years, have deliberately limited yields to obtain grapes of optimum quality.

Pierre-André Frot, agricultural engineer and oenologist, is a lover of the vine and its environment. Passionate about his profession, Pierre strives to transmit this passion through the wines he produces.

Passed by great houses of Bordeaux and Burgundy during his studies, he transcribes the rigor and finesse taught in his wines. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Pierre very quickly acquired the Les Pierres d'Aurèle estate after working as a banker for the first 3 years following his studies.

Today, alongside his wife, he leads the life he has always dreamed of between passing on his love of wine and sharing the good things in life.

Les Pierres d'Aurèle Bulles is a natural sparkling white wine expressing the fruitiness and delicacy of Chenin. It was vinified in stainless steel vats before foaming, with a draw in December on natural sugar and aging for 10 months on slats.

POUILLY SMOKE OF LADOUCETTE 2020

Comments
It is no longer this area of the Loire, located in the Nièvre, which can be said to some jokers that the Pouilly-fumé is a Burgundy Loire or Burgundy wine Loire. Associated with one of the most famous surnames of the French wine history, this pouilly-fumé of anthology perpetuates the canons of this appellation with rigor and constancy. Produced in the commune of Pouilly-sur-Loire, made exclusively from the sauvignon grape variety, which reveals here all its nobility, this Ladoucette masterpiece symbolizes the weight and strength of a family tradition serving appellations of origin. . Certainly, wine is a classic, an institution, a historical monument, certainly not a discovery, but at a time when the doors open to all the excesses, it is legitimate to stand at attention in front of some battlements. A Marianne of wines that feels in its place. (Marianne Magazine)
Details Domain
Since the end of the 18th century, the family of the Counts Lafond has the largest and most famous vineyards of Pouilly Fumé.

This remarkable wine is only produced during the great vintages. The Baron de L is recognized as one of the greatest Sauvignon wines in the world, of exceptional finesse and size.
Baron Patrick de Ladoucette then extended his know-how to the vineyards of Sancerre and perpetuated the name of the Count Lafond for his great vintages of Sancerre in exceptional bottles of the eighteenth century reminiscent of those used by his grandfather.
A few years later, the Clos de la Poussie, mythical vineyard of Sancerre being for sale, the Baron Patrick de Ladoucette acquired it. This natural amphitheater facing south allows for a particular wine, the Haut de la Poussie.

SAINT NICOLAS DE BOURGUEIL LE VAU JAUMIER DOMAINE DE LA COTELLERAIE 2017

“Le Vau Jaumier” is located on a weak south-facing slope, on a clay-limestone soil. The vines settled there for a long time as evidenced by the numerous remains of amphorae. They emerge as soon as the earth is disturbed, from the rubble of a Gallo-Roman villa which rose within this vineyard.

Harvest and vinification: The harvest are manual then the grapes are sorted grain by grain at optimum maturity. “Le Vau Jaumier” is the last harvested terroir of the whole estate. After crushing and destemming of the harvest, alcoholic fermentation starts naturally and is carried out in thermo-regulated wooden vats. Pigeage by foot twice a day for ten days and the maceration is then prolonged for 2 to 15 days in order to complete the extraction. Entonnage, in barrels after devatting and pressing. Malolactic fermentation therefore takes place in oak barrels (during the spring following the harvest).

Breeding : Classically, the Le Vau Jaumier cuvée is aged in 1-wine barrels for 12 months. In adaptation to the vintage,

QUARTER OF CHAUME ZERSILLES 2015 DOMAINE PATRICK BAUDOUIN 50CL

QUARTS DE CHAUME ZERSILLES 2015 DOMAINE PATRICK BAUDOUIN

The original Domaine was created by his great-grandparents, Maria Juby and Louis Juby, both from Angevin, who after inheriting vines on the slopes of Les Bruandières in St Aubin de Luigné at the beginning of the 1920th century, arrived in Ardenay, ("wooded height", in Gaulish) a small hamlet on the slopes on the right bank of the Layon, in Chaudefonds sur Layon, to settle there as winegrowers around XNUMX.

After a stint in Paris and other professional activities, Patrick BEAUDOUIN returned to Anjou in 1990 to re-found an estate based on the small and old family winery, the few rented vines still in production, and beautiful uncultivated hillsides.

Today, Domaine Patrick Baudouin has thirteen and a half hectares of vines in production. Ten hectares of Chenin, three and a half of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, in the communes of Chaudefonds sur Layon, Saint Aubin de Luigné and Rochefort sur Loire (Quart de Chaume). Patrick also planted one hectare of Savennières in 2009.

The Estate undertook to convert all its vines to organic farming in 2002. Any new plot rented or purchased is immediately converted, if it is not already organic.
Since 1997 they resumed tillage, then abandoned chemical weedkillers, and from 2001 they no longer used synthetic treatment products. In the cellar, since 1994, no more wine from the Domaine has been chaptalized ("sweetened", as the ancients said), by limiting sulfur to a minimum.

In the vineyard, certified organic farming, constant search for the best human labor / biotope ratio, for a non-destructive, sustainable culture.

Sancerre white poitevinnes domain serge laloue 2017 75cl

SANCERRE WHITE LES POITEVINNES DOMAINE SERGE LALOUE 2019

Domaine Serge Laloue, is a brother, Franck and his sister Christine, who perpetuate the work undertaken by their father, Serge, in the 60 years. It is a vineyard of 21 hectares, located mainly in the municipality of Thauvenay, 5 kilometers from Sancerre. 16 are planted in sauvignon. They give birth to the white Sancerre. The remaining 5 hectares are planted in pinot noir, and destined for Sancerre rosé and Sancerre rouge. In Thauvenay, three terrois are distinguished:

The "Caillottes" particularly stony and limestone. Located mid-slope, they favor a faster ripening of the grapes.

The wines from these soils develop floral and black fruit notes (especially blackcurrant). Flexible, they willingly accept to be young drink.

Clay-siliceous soils are located at the top of the slopes. They give the wine mineral notes, "flint stone" style. Hard in their youth, it is better to wait a bit to let them reveal their spicy aromas.
