Don Papa Baroko is made on the island of Negros, Philippines. It is distilled from molasses, known locally as “black gold,” which comes from one of the many local mills on the island.
To achieve this version Don Papa Baroko, is added to the blend of rums, local sugar cane and aromas before being cold filtered and bottled at 40 °.Victoria pineapples are peeled by hand. The peel of the pineapple is infused with Plantation 3 Stars for a week and then distilled while the flesh of the pineapple is infused with the original Plantation Dark for several months. Then the distillate and the infusion are assembled. The production of Plantation Pineapple is very limited since it is linked to the seasons of the Victoria Pineapple.
Alexandre Gabriel wanted to bring up to date the “Pineapple delicacy” so dear to the English of the Victorian era. The Reverend Stiggins imagined by Charles Dickens in the Pickwick Papers was also a great fan! In collaboration with historian David Wondrich and after much research, Plantation Pineapple Rum was born.
To better highlight the exceptional character of each vintage, bottles of Plantation “terroir” rums are now adorned with a special label indicating the uniqueness of each vintage and each of the sources in the collection. For the 2020 editions, endemic birds color the labels with their vibrant feathers. Their exotic graphics evoking the boards of Buffon are also a real pleasure for the eye.
The Quatre Mains program highlights the philosophy at the heart of the brand: The preservation of rum cultures and traditions.
These vintage rums are the fruit of the collaboration between Alexandre and passionate distillers, who together select and blend the barrels necessary to find the perfect balance. A duo working together. The goal: To sublimate a product and create a perfect harmony.

Cradle of the Depaz brand, the La Montagne house was originally an agricultural estate founded in 1651 by Jacques Duparquet, the first governor of the island. Anchored on the majestic slopes of Mount Pelée in the north of the island, these fertile but dangerous lands tell the incredible story of a man, Victor Depaz, with an extraordinary destiny.Originally exploited for the cultivation of tobacco, indigo and for breeding, the land was quickly used for the cultivation of sugar cane, which has greatly developed thanks to the improvement of distillation techniques.
Depaz Porto Finish has aged 8 years in small selected oak barrels.
It benefits from an 11-month finish in Port barrels.
